Two PhD Research Positions

PhD Research Position

Applications are invited, from suitably qualified candidates, to work in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics with particular focus on nanoparticle movement under influence of acoustic waves. The post demands in part theoretical work in fluid mechanics and in part numerical modelling for solving the problem.

Applicants are expected to hold a good first degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Physical Sciences. It would be beneficial if the applicant has experience in numerical modelling of acoustic problems or fluid flow. Previous experience in programming is desirable. The successful candidate will be registered for a PhD degree and will have a stipend covering the living expenses and fees. The position is for three years.

Applications including your CV, cover letter and contact details of three referees, should be sent, preferably by Email, to: Prof. Viktor Popov,
